chalk.
Hazel loves playing with her sidewalk chalk. Most days she just likes to take the chalk in and out of the container, but every now and then we get some drawings out of her.

Last weekend we visited AppleBerry farm to see the pumpkins, apples, and chickens. It was such a beautiful day and Hazel had a blast running just running around!

dc.
Last week we made a trip to DC for Mo and Mario's wedding. Both Steve and I got to catch up with friends and we also got to spend some time with Mimi and Grandpa. They were so sweet to meet us in DC and watch Hazel during all the wedding festivities. I had every intention of taking lots of photos, but I am sad to say we only took one! Needless to say it was a VERY busy weekend.

first installation.
As I unpacked yesterday and put away fresh laundry, I found Hazel creating an installation with the hangers I had laid out on our bedroom floor. I was able to catch the very end on video...

sheboygan.
We just finished our first family of three vacation. We spent a few days in Sheboygan, WI at the Blue Harbor Resort. What a great time we had exploring Sheboygan and all it had to offer.
Hazel just loved Lake Michigan and playing with her toys in the sand. Our resort had a pretty decent beach, but the beach at Kohler-Andrae State Park was incredible.
After spending our days at the beach, we would return to the water at Blue Harbor's indoor waterpark. I have never seen anything like it! There was water everywhere and Hazel was totally into it.

We did do some dry activities and explore the town of Sheboygan. We stopped at the Book Worm Gardens and loved it so much we ended up visiting twice. The different gardens were all based on children's books and the books were available by each garden to read. Such a great place!
We even found a brick oven pizza place to try one night for dinner! Hazel sported pigtails for the first time!
Overall, it was a wonderful getaway and I hope we can return soon!
