1 year.

October marks one year that we have been in our house!  This past year we have had so much fun with all our DIY projects and making our house really feel like our home.  I am still amazed at how handy Steve is and feel lucky that he enjoys this house stuff as much as I do!  It has certainly turned into a hobby for us.  Here is a rough estimate of some  updates we have completed and some fun "before and after/progress" pictures.

changed 21 door hinges

replaced 9 door knobs

updated 6 rooms with new flooring

replaced 4 faucets

replaced 1 kitchen sink

painted trim in 7 rooms

removed 3 bushes

planted 4 new trees

landscaped 1 front yard

refinished 1 kitchen table

painted 28 kitchen cabinets and 7 drawers

refinished 3 bathroom vanities

painted 1 front porch

installed 1 closet organizer

This afternoon we enjoyed a beautiful fall day playing outdoors and exploring the conservancy.  We returned home to enjoy one of Hazel's favorites...cottage cheese!

Hazel loves playing with her sidewalk chalk.  Most days she just likes to take the chalk in and out of the container, but every now and then we get some drawings out of her.

Last weekend we visited AppleBerry farm to see the pumpkins, apples, and chickens.  It was such a beautiful day and Hazel had a blast running just running around!

Last week we made a trip to DC for Mo and Mario's wedding.  Both Steve and I got to catch up with friends and we also got to spend some time with Mimi and Grandpa.  They were so sweet to meet us in DC and watch Hazel during all the wedding festivities.  I had every intention of taking lots of photos, but I am sad to say we only took one!  Needless to say it was a VERY busy weekend.
