one year check up.

Today we had our one year check up with Dr. Bragg, the neurosurgeon who did Hazel's surgery last March.  We have scheduled an MRI for six months from now to make sure everything looks good and there is no scar tissue.  She is hitting all her milestones, so Dr. Bragg is confident her MRI will check out normal.  It was an overall good check up and Hazel had just a ball playing with the chalkboard while waiting for the doctor.

Hazel has been practicing her walking skills lately and today we captured a few steps on video.  She has awhile to go but she is on her way!

The other day I found Hazel helping me clean up.  I was getting ready for work while Hazel sipped on an applesauce packet.  After she was finished, I found her over by the bathroom garbage can where she carefully deposited her empty packet.  I was one proud Mama.

Hazel saw her first magic show this weekend!  We visited the Overture Center where Wayne the Wizard was putting on quite a show.  It was a such a beautiful day we took a little stroll around the capitol.

What a wonderful first year it has been with our bean.  It is amazing how much she grows each and every month.
