Preschool!

Hazel Lou started Preschool this month and she couldn't be happier.  She is having the best time and learning new things each day.  Today she came home and told me, "Mom I had fun at school today.  I did not miss you".  Haha! Well, I guess I am glad she is enjoying it so much!

1 year!

Our baby girl is one!  Lola turned one and we had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family.  We are so proud of her and feel extremely lucky to have her as our daughter.  She is playing more than ever with her sister and it is the cutest thing to watch. She currently has six teeth but working on her seventh. She is cruising along furniture and walking with Mom and Dad holding her hands. She is on her way and will be walking on her own soon! Her words consist of: Dada, Mama, Hi, night night, and hat.

11 months.

Lola is officially 11 months and we are in process of planning her first birthday!  I can't believe our baby girl is turning one!  She has been such an amazing addition to the family, I can't imagine a life with out her in it.  Lola now has six teeth and is beginning to cruise along furniture.  She is not yet walking, but is having no problem keeping up with her sister.

10 months.

Guest post from Daddy:  Lola turned 10 months last week.  She is busier than ever - she crawls around so fast (her "army" crawl) and grabs anything and everything she can get her cute little hands on.  She is such a good little girl, full of smiles, curiosity, and belly laughs.  She thinks her big sis is pretty funny lately, though big sis doesn't always find Lola funny, such as when Lola gets her hands on baby doll.  She is starting to interact with us more and more.  She "barks" at Buster, gives slobbery kisses to Mommy and Daddy, and learned to clap last week while watching the Cherry Festival parade in Traverse City.

Lola likes:

Jibber-jabbering (yep, we have another talker on our hands)

Watching Hazel stomp around

Splish splashing in the tub

Buster (watch out, Buster!)

Pulling up

"Squeaking" (our polite reference to her screeching)

9 months.

Lola turned 9 months last week and she is of course cuter than ever.  She is on the move and it is time to put up the child gates.  She now has four teeth and it has been quite an adventure having them come in.  A few sleepless nights for Mommy and Daddy.  She is on her way to becoming a 1 year old and let's just say Mommy is having a hard time with that.

Hazel received her first big girl haircut this week!  We have home trimmed it in the past, but this time we decided to visit the professionals.  They didn't take off very much at all, but a little cleaning up made a difference.  Hazel was super during the cut, so she was able to enjoy a very well deserved ice cream at the end!

8 months.

Lola turned 8 months last week and we couldn't be any prouder.  She has popped three teeth, learned to crawl, and is starting to wave!  She is also very aware of her name and continues to watch and now follow her sister non-stop.  It is so cute to watch them together!

7 months.

Lola is 7 months old!  The days seem to be speeding up because we blinked and she turned seven months.  She is still just as sweet as can be and the happiest baby.  She is in the 90th percentile for height and 70th for weight.  Her cheeks seem to be holding a lot of that weight.

Hazel is 3.

Hazel turned three on March 23rd and we are still in a little bit of shock.  It is so hard to believe that we now have a 3 year old!  Hazel had such a wonderful time celebrating her birthday with family and friends!  Her party was at the Little Gym, which is one of her favorite places to go these days.  They played lots of games, listened to music, ran around, had pizza, and of course ate lots of cake.  The most memorable moment for us, was seeing Hazel blow out her birthday candles.  We were a bit surprised with her new approach.  Instead blowing them out quietly, she yells, "FUFF, FUFF, FUFF" until they blow out.  Needless to say, it had us in hysterics.  We love you HAZEL BEAN!

Lola is 6 months old!  I can't believe she is half way to a year.  These have been the fastest six months I can remember.  She continues to be cute as a button and smiley as can be.  Her giggles are addicting and Hazel continues to get the best ones out of her!
