a little pick me up.

Steve and I were just commenting to each other that we have visited Home Depot and Menards every weekend since we purchased the house (unless we are out of town, of course).  Our latest project was the basement bathroom.  I finally remembered to snap some "before" pictures.  I usually get so excited about a new project I forget to take pictures before we start!

swimming.

Hazel has been enjoying her swim classes so much that we decided to take her swimming this weekend at the gym.  This was her first time in a saltwater pool and boy did she love it!  She was sucking her thumb and saying, "mmmmmm" the whole time.  She makes the same noises when she is eating her favorite snack...toasted cheese!

crafting.

Hazel and I had fun putting together a little craft today.  Her adorable hands created a Valentines Day inspired print!  I think we have a little artist on our hands ;)

first snow.

Hazel experienced snow for the first time today!  She seemed to enjoy it, however, I think she would have liked it more if she could have moved a bit.  Her snowsuit had her pretty stationary. 

a new first.

Hazel had a big day today!  She tried the daycare at the gym for the first time and she did just wonderful!  What a proud Mommy I was to find her smiling and playing right along!

happy new year.

Wow!  What an amazing holiday season we had.  Hazel had a great first Christmas and boy was Santa (grandparents) good to her.  She really loved going to New York and Iron Mountain and having everyone visit Madison too.  A special THANKS to all our family for making it such a special time.

2011 has been a year like no other.  We feel so blessed to have Hazel in our lives and it is hard to imagine what life was like without her.  We are looking forward to spending 2012 watching our little pumpkin grow!
